Space Station will pass over Silverton Sunday evening June 27
The ISS will pass directly over Silverton Sunday evening. If skies are clear this should be a nice sight even with the full moon lighting up the sky. The ISS will rise in the SW at 8:53 PM, pass overhead at 8:56PM, and set in the NE.
ISS Transits May 13-17
The International Space Station will make some prime time passes over the Silverton area.
May 13 9:51 PM The ISS rises in the NW, reaches maximum elevation in the NE, and sets in the ENE
May 15 9:05 PM The ISS rises in the NW, reaches maximum elevation in the NE, and sets in the ESE
May 16 9:30 PM The ISS rises in the WNW, reaches maximum elevation only 35 degrees above the horizon in the SW, and sets in the S
May 17 8:19 PM This should be the brightest of the bunch at maginitude -3. The ISS rises in the NW, reaches maximum elevation in the NE, and sets in the ESE
ISS Turkey Weekend Transits
November 25 5:50 PM This will be a double transit with the space shuttle Atlantis. The International Space Station will rise in the NW, reach maximum elevation at 5:52 PM, and set in the E.
November 26 6:13 PM. The ISS will rise in the NW, reach maximum elevation at 6:15, and set in the SSE.
November 28 5:23 PM. The ISS will rise in the WNW, reach maximum elevation at 5:25 PM, and set in the SE.
ISS Transits this weekend
Friday September 25 the International Space Station will rise over Silverton in the NW headed ESE beginning at 7:52 PM and will reach maximum elevation at 7:54 PM.
Sunday September 27 the ISS will rise in the NW beginning at 7:06 PM and will reach maximum elevation at 7:07 PM.
At magnitude -3 the ISS might be visible through light cloud cover.
ISS Transits May 8-12
The International Space Station will be visible from Silverton several times during the second week of May. Rumor has it that the new solar array makes the ISS bright enough to be seen during the daytime but I have not been able to verify this with my own eyeballs yet.
May 8 The ISS will rise in the NW at 5:44 AM and will reach peak elevation in the SW at 5:46.
May 10 The ISS will rise in the WNW at 5:01 AM
and will reach peak elevation in the SW at 5:03.
(same day) The ISS will rise in the SW at 9:27 PM and will pass nearly overhead at 9:29 PM heading SE.
ISS Transits March 31 and April 2
The International Space Station will pass directly over Silverton the evening of March 31. With its new solar array it is very bright and might be visible through the clouds. The ISS will rise in the NW headed SE about 8:48 PM and should be overhead about one minute later. The weather forecast for April 2 is more favorable. The ISS will rise in the NW about 8:05 PM headed SE and will reach maximum elevation at 8:07 PM.

The International Space Station will be visible over Silverton several times next week.
Sept. 14 at 5:37 AM the ISS will rise in the NW headed SE and will pass directly overhead.
Sept. 18 at 8:38 PM the ISS will rise in the SW headed SE.
Sept. 20 at 7:56 PM the ISS will rise in the SW headed NE and will pass directly overhead.
Sept. 22 at 7:14 PM the ISS will rise in the SW headed NE.

The International Space Station will be visible over Silverton several times during the first week of August if the monsoon clouds cooperate and dissipate by dusk.
On the 3rd, the ISS will rise in the NNW at 9:47 PM headed ENE. It will reach maximum apparent altitude at 9:49 PM at 33 degrees above the horizon.
On the 4th the ISS will rise in the NW at 9:12 PM headed W, and will reach maximum altitude at 9:14 PM.
On the 5th the ISS will rise in the NW at 9:03 PM headed E and will reach maximum altitude at 9:05 PM.
